Zhanna makes the box completely from scratch. The frame of the piece is made of binding cardboard. This work piece can be covered with leatherette, fabric, velour, suede, vinyl — whatever you want. This box looks great in the interior. You choose the color and material for it.
Zhanna shows how to calculate and assemble the frame of the box and strengthen its walls. She wraps the outer part with a leather substitute, and the inner with a beautiful paper. Then she decorates the box with strips of mirror vinyl.
At the masterclass, Zhanna makes a 30.5×30.5 cm box. But you can make boxes of any size. You get clear instructions which you can easily fulfil.
You need 3 mm thick cardboard: 2 sheets 32×29.5 cm and 2 sheets 29.5×18.4 cm for the walls, 1 sheet 32×19 cm for the bottom. Zhanna uses a Vivella faux leather. For this box it’s enough to take a 140×34 cm piece. For interior decoration, you need 4 sheets of scrapbooking paper.
It takes about two hours to make one box. It all depends on experience and speed of work. The masterclass is suitable for both beginners and experienced masters. The video shows everything from scratch.
